Job site: nowhiring.com.au
It is difficult to understand what this site is trying to achieve when there are other, well-established sites providing the same service with great success already.
The offering is nothing new: you can search from the home page by keywords, category and location, specifying whether to include Recruitment agency and/or Employers job postings in the results.
Go to the Search page and you can run a more sophisticated search string, specifying keyword, category, sub-category, location and contract type. This is fine but the problem remains that there are not a lot of jobs from advertisers, so by the time you specify a narrow search for your ideal job, the results may well be in single figures.
If you register, there are a couple of other facilities you can take advantage of: resume uploading, employer searching and browsing, and creating your resume online.
Note that if you post your resume, the basic details (not including your contact information) will be visible to anyone looking at the Employers page. The page for Freelancers, which looks promising, is being upgraded - no mention is made of what benefits will be offered.
If your approach to job seeking is to take advantage of every online opportunity on the off-chance that the right job might appear from any direction, then do register, but be prepared to wait for the right job to come up. If you are looking for work quickly, then this site might be more effort than it is worth.

Information for recruiters / HR / employers:
This site is a little baffling, not least because it is hard to locate information of relevance to advertisers. Go to the Employers page and you will find a search field for browsing through resumes. You do not have to register or pay to do this, although you will need to pay AUS$99 a month if you wish to start downloading the resumes with full contact details.
It does not feel quite right that personal profiles are being used to draw in advertisers through open publication on the site, albeit without contact information. The site owners state that this is a pioneering move, as it means you don't have to pay to search when results aren't guaranteed. However, the fact is that if you pay to search a very large site, there is a far higher chance of identifying suitable applicants than on this site, where resumes posted number just over 1,000 (this may be because no resume is over 60 days old, as numbers are regularly thinned).
You may be interested to know that job advertisements are free of charge. You only need submit company information to take advantage of this. As an advertiser, you can manage applicants online, benefit from applicant screening and ranking, and create links between NowHiring and your own corporate website.
Additional profile can be gained through Banner Advertising from AUS$500 per month, your logo on the home page as a Featured Employer from AUS$ 100 per month, and a free listing in the Advertiser Directory (this is your logo and URL).
If your policy is to advertise in every available location, then this site is worth a visit. What it does, it does reasonably well, on a small scale.
