topjobs.co.uk - Can Top Jobs help you find a new job?
This site has a crowded home page, making it confusing to look at. There is no differentiation between information for job seekers and that for recruiters/employers. Your best option is to go straight to the advanced search page. Enter a job sector and you can then select a specific role in that sector, if you wish. You can run up to 5 search strings at one time, so if you know what you're looking for, this site is fast. You can also add region, job type, keywords and date advert posted to your criteria.
Unlike many other sites, you can request email alerts when you submit an advanced search, without having to register a lot of personal information first. You can upload your CV once you decide to apply for a job directly from the advert, but you can't store it on the site.
Click on a job sector shown on the home page, and you can browse through all adverts for that sector. Go to the left-hand menu and you can browse all the latest jobs without having to conduct a search. The site needs a bit more work. The information isn't always as clear as it could be. A key point is information for both advertisers and job seekers is mixed up. Also, the location criteria in the search tool doesn't seem to work - or the adverts aren't correctly categorised.
